Armstrong Ceilings’ 2014 A Book inspires design exploration

    14th January 2014

A grand tour of projects has been published in Armstrong Ceilings’ latest A Book.

Far from having to travel the globe, all that architects and interior designers need for inspiration on specifying interior solutions is contained within Armstrong Ceilings’ A Book for 2014.

Regardless of the culture, climate, client, complexity or cost implications of a project, the new A Book proves that Armstrong has a ceiling solution for even the most demanding of briefs and contemporary environments.

The showcase from the leading supplier of interior building solutions features a variety of stunning UK and world-wide new-build and renovation case studies in the office, retail and leisure, transport, education and healthcare sectors.

British projects include Paddington train station where bespoke V-P 500  baffle designs combine acoustics with accessibility in internal and more demanding external environments; the new Learning Commons Building at Manchester University where bespoke demountable T-Clip F ceiling planks and W-H 1000 wall panels optimise acoustics and services concealment, and the refurbished Bracton House offices where the Microline grid system enables partition fixing and relocation to give ultimate design flexibility.

Other British projects are the Cutty Sark where sail-like fabric canopies bring a contemporary design twist to a tea clipper that is living testimony to the bygone, glorious days of worldwide sail; Woking Leisure Centre where Optima rectangle canopies help bring definition to walkways within fitness areas, and the Trinity BioScience laboratories in Dublin where hygiene was paramount.

Further afield, Armstrong’s portfolio of products, manufactured from materials including mineral, metal, wood, fabric and resin, feature in case studies such as a training centre in the United Arab Emirates, cultural centre in Belgium, trade centre in The Netherlands and a nursing home in Austria.
